The Capital Persuasion Project
This furnishings only project transformed a newly remodeled space within the Salem, Oregon Capital building into a warm, welcoming environment for a team of lobbyists. After the extensive renovation of the capital building, the group was presented with a rare opportunity to lease space inside the building, including a large open area that needed to comfortably seat at least 36 people along with two conference rooms.
The Problem: With white walls and grey and white carpeting, the space initially felt sterile and cold.
The Solution: Our design focused on softening, and elevating the environment through layered materials and texture. We warmed things up with beautiful woods, rich leathers, and plush velvet upholstery. These furnishings brought depth and comfort, while brass and marble details subtly echoed the classic architecture and dignity of the Capital itself.
The result is a space that feels both refined and inviting. Functional for large gatherings yet elegant in presence, it balances formality with warmth and reflects the importance of the work happening within its walls.
